Day 9 Feb 11th 2006 The Last Day
**Can you believe I forgot to mention something about yesterday, Feb 10th?! Well I did. Mark wanted to buy me a gift so when we were at the Magic Kingdom he bought me one of those Italian Charm bracelets and a charm of the hat at MGM. We had quite the struggle trying to figure out how to work the bracelet but we finally got it and I love it. It was very sweet of him. Ok… now back to your regularly scheduled trip report.**
Today was our last day. How sad! It went by way too fast! We had a very busy day planned. We were going to attempt to park hop to three parks AND go to the Polynesian for dinner. We got up at 7 and got ready. My body was sore from go, go, go for so many days straight but I didn’t care! I could rest tomorrow on the plane. Today was too important to waste.
We started our day by going to Animal Kingdom. We rode Everest for the 5th time and got some souvenirs. The guys got t-shirts and I wanted one too but they didn’t have any women’s shirts that I liked. So I went to the kids section and they had cute little girl shirts so I got a large child’s size instead. Mark did not lose his hat on this trip. YEAH! We headed over to Dinoland and because we’re masochists we rode Primeval Whirl again. We decided to ride Dinosaur again. Mark’s favorite part is when you go back in time via the toaster. We wanted one more ride on Everest so we headed over there and rode once more before leaving the park. Until next time, Animals!

In an attempt to maximize our limited time today I decided to bike around the Animal Kingdom. “Hop on the handle bars guys!”

We can’t get enough!

The dark, loud, un-scary toaster ride…Now with Dinosaurs! I look like I'm ready to beat someone up in the right hand corner.

One last view of Expedition: Everest.
Our next park was MGM. We went and got Fast Passes for Lights, Motors, Action! We went and watched this little show about Narnia. It was kind of dumb because mostly is was just a really long commercial for the movie, which we've already seen. But the White Witch did come out and look all intimidating and that was pretty cool! I wish we could have gotten our picture with her.

The White Witch. Eeeeevil!
We wandered for a while looking at everything. We saw the Power Rangers and this started a loooong conversation with Mark and Matt discussing the finer points of the Power Rangers. No joke! They were having a very deep philosophical conversation that even involved calling Brian to settle a P.W. dispute… Oh you guys!

Fast Passes… CHECK!

Go! Go! Power Rangers!

Here are the guys talking Power Rangers… I’ll try to interpret.
“See, the one Power Ranger played the flute.”
“Yes! And then he got really big!”

“The red one was the coolest!”
“The yellow one was hot.”
“The yellow one isn’t a girl anymore…”

“What the hell are you guys talking about?!”

“Beth, the Power Rangers were awesome!”
“I’ll strangle anyone who thinks differently!”

“Let me just tell you ONE more thing about the Blue Ranger…”
LOL! I did eventually convince them not to waste our last day discussing Power Ranger Politics.
We went and got lunch at “something” Flatbread. This place had terrible service. Mark and I waited forever because the poor CM must have been new. She was slow and got frazzled easy and then she forgot who was next and helped this other huge group before us. And then the people actually getting the food?! Please! Most disorganized group. EVER! But that did have its benefits because they screwed up and gave us double of everything. And we took it! Matt had already ordered, got his food and found a seat about 20 minutes before us. We shared our extra bounty with him. And let me just say that it was very windy. Very windy! After lunch we went to take pictures.

Matt trying not to blow away during lunch.

Muah! A kiss and Mark makes a good wind blocker. Score!

We make out like bandits at lunch!

Mark and Matt! Didn’t your mothers ever tell you not to play in the middle of the street?!

Whoooosh! See, It is windy!

“What? No rain?” Don’t worry, Beth. It’s coming.

Matt can’t wait to find a restroom…

Sittin’ on the stoop. Come on… this is an awesome picture!

Mark and I stoopin’ it up.

Matt pretending that’s a nipple. Sheesh Matt! We can’t take you anywhere. Nevermind that I told you to do it!

I TOLD you it was really windy! This is one of the pitfalls of being a girl. Hair in your face.

Matt and I in front of the Ritz. We’re coming out of revolving doors so right after this I probably told the story of how my brother got his head stuck in some revolving doors when he was little. LOL! I like that story.

Here I am showing Mark how this is the prefect setting for a tap dance. Sure, I’ve never taken a tap lesson in my life but you don’t think that stopped me, do you?

This was a common occurrence during the trip. Matt trying to beat me while I tried to make my escape.
It was time for Lights, Motors, Action! We got in the fast pass line and then I heard my phone beep. I have a voice mail. I checked it and it was Sharon, a lady we were going to meet up with during our layover in Atlanta the next day. But she couldn’t make it this time and she was calling to let me know. But she sounded like a real sweetheart! Hopefully we’ll get to meet her next time. We headed into the seats and found a good spot. I’m glad we had the fast passes because the arena filled up very quick. The show was very good! I enjoyed it and I’m not a car person. But oh my word! The guys would not stop talking about it. I’m glad we waited till the last day to do this show because I couldn’t have taken 9 days of them talking about LMA this and LMA that. LOL! We decided to go on The Great Movie Ride (Where we finally got the Cowboy scene) and Tower of Terror. Out of nowhere this rain storm came pouring down. Yuck! After TOT we needed to head to the Polynesian Hotel.

Fire! Fire! Lights, Motors, Action. People on fire are cool…

Where the heck did the rain come from?! Where’s that umbrella when I need it?

I show the guys how good I’d look with facial hair. I’m not sure they agreed.
We took the bus to the Poly. The bus driver had the heater on, and every one was wet and the bus was packed… it was like one big sardine can sauna. Fun! We finally arrived and we were in awe. We all loved this hotel and decided this is where we want to stay next time. We spent some time looking around and taking pictures. Eventually we went and checked in for Ohanas. This place is all you care to eat. We started off with wonton chips, salad and chicken. Then came the veggies and those yummy mashed potatoes we loved so much. THEN came the skewers. There was steak, sausage, pork and turkey. Then they called for people to come learn the hula so Matt and I decided to go and Mark volunteered to watch the table. Matt and I were the only people over the age of 7 over there but we got leis so we didn’t care. LOL! When we got back the dessert was there. Mmmm! Coconut Bread Pudding, vanilla ice cream and banana foster sauce. Mark even loved it and he doesn’t like coconut. We also started saying “in my pants” at the end of everything. I’m not too sure how that got started but we thought it was hilarious.

Our home away from home, next trip!

Its so pretty there!

Their pool has a volcano and a beach!

Four Tikis. Check out Mark’s awesome tiki face. LOL!

Can we eat yet?

My Ohana!

Matt learns to hula.

Are you dancing or are you going to slap me?!

Mmm! My delicious drink.

Us and the remains of dinner.

The guys.

Mark and I. Mark show’s off his Hula skills… in my pants! See… its just funny and it never gets old. LOL!

Hang Loose!

This was a great last meal for our trip. It was a great atmosphere and we got to visit and enjoy each others company.
After dinner we went to the Magic Kingdom. We were going to watch Spectromagic. I was very excited! This was the only day it played while we were there and I really wanted to see it. We were there early so we rode the TTA and went shopping. (Shameless plug: You can check out one of our famous TTA trips at MouseHub.com here!Enjoy.)I bought Mark and Matt a few pins to add to their collection. We headed out to Main Street to get a spot. It was raining a little bit but not too bad. Mark left Matt and I to hold down the spots while he went to the restroom. And then… it started to pour. Not just rain but a torrential down pour! Matt and I ran to hide in the candy store and sent Mark a text telling him where to find us. He did and a little bit later they announced that Spectromagic was cancelled. Boo!!!! We said bye to the Magic Kingdom and headed back to the Pop. We finished packing and sorting through stuff before we went to bed.

Waiting in the rain for Spectro. Oh look! Here it come! No wait… that’s just Noah and his ark.
This was the best vacation ever. I cannot remember the last time I had so much fun. I couldn’t have asked for better people to go with. It kind of makes me sad to finish the trip report. It was fun reliving everything.
Matt: I’m so glad you came with us. I’m glad we finally made it. It wouldn’t have been the same with out you there.
Mark: I had the best time ever with you. I couldn’t have made it without you. I love you!
Lets do it again really soon, guys!
Below are some pictures from our PhotoPass that they took at the park for us. As you look through them remember… one room + two guys = a smelly vacation. But well worth it!! LOL!

Our first day. What the heck is this stuff? Rain?!

Epcot at Space Ship Earth. BBQ Sauce!

Space Ship Earth at night.

Mission: Space! AKA the spinning tin can from hell. Matt is making a Dick Cheny face. LOL!

By the big hat.

By Tower of Terror.

Look how scared we are of the Tower!

Stitch! Matt looks excited. LOL!

Mike and Sully and the gang!

Yeah! A sunny picture with the castle. My hair is all flow-y. It looks like a shampoo commercial. LOL!

Watch out for the birds! Someone needs to photoshop them out.

I look like I’m limping but I’m not. I just don’t know how to stand without looking like a nerd.

Simba and more flow-y hair!

By the Tree of Life.

Ta-da!

More Sima. That little guy loves us.

Rockin Rollercoaster!

Rockin’ Out! Matt lost his head…

Fun times!

Simba again! Just come home with me, you cute little kitty!

The end of the best trip ever with the best people ever!

Wow! What fun. I am sorry it is over, too. Good reading.
Josh wanted to go out to dinner tonight after work. We met at The Outback. When they brought the check I told him since he invited us he had to pay. He said, "My money's no good here." Just like Beth's money.
